I kväll firade European Film Award, som skapades av bland andra Ingmar Bergman och Aina Bellis, trettioårsjubliuem. Flera filmstorheter fanns på pats för att hylla den europeiska filmen under trettio år. När galan var slut hade tidigare Guldpalmsvinnaren The Square lyckats att knipa hela sex Europem Film Awards. Något som aldrig tidigare hänt en svensk film i galans historia.
The Square belönades med statyetter för Bästa film, Bästa komedi, Bästa regi, Bästa manus, Bästa produktionsdesign samt Bästa manligaskådespelare. Därmed skrevs det filmhistoria. Inte någon gång har en svensk film belönats med Bästa film under trettio år. Ej heller vunnit så många priser som i kväll.
